The Nikon EN-EL9a Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery provides 7.2v of power and can store 1080mAh of power, which translates into over 200 shots on a charge. The battery is charged using the MH-23 quick charger(sold separately). Used together with your Nikon D-SLR, the camera's fuel gauge accurately displays the remaining charge and number of shots since the last charging.
