Nikon is proud to announce that two of its digital-SLR cameras, the Nikon D5000 and D3100, as well as two of its digital compact cameras COOLPIX S8100 and COOLPIX L110 have been awarded at the 6th Annual CNET Asia Readers’ Choice 2010/11 Awards on 22 February 2011 - an event that spotlights the most desired tech products favoured by CNET Asia readers.

The Nikon D5000 has won a silver award for the second year in running from the previous 5th Annual CNET Asia Readers' Choice 2009/10 Awards.

In December 2010, CNET Asia asked readers to nominate their favorite gadgets across 19 categories, consisting of up to 167 products selected by CNET Asia editors based on overall reader popularity and feedback, performance via CNET Asia lab tests, as well as value and impact. For 10 weeks, registered readers were allowed to vote the winners via an online poll. Over 100,000 votes were cast in that time, with the top three voted products from each category awarded the CNET Asia Readers’ Choice Awards in Gold, Silver and Bronze.

The two Nikon DSLRs and two COOLPIXes awarded this year are:
