This announcement is an update to the Nikon D70 Digital SLR Camera Service Advisory which was published on 26 September 2005. If you have already visited our Service facility to have your camera inspected, you need not be concerned by this announcement.

In the Service Advisory, Nikon alerted owners of the Nikon D70 Digital SLR camera that Nikon would service cameras affected by the failure of selected electrical components free of charge, regardless of the status of the product warranty. However, please be informed that the term of this offer would expire on 29 February 2012. Service required to address this issue after the offer period would be handled in accordance with standard Nikon repair policies.

Please contact your nearest authorised Nikon Service Centre(s) as soon as possible to have your camera inspected and serviced within the offer period.
